2 meter glider competition is held on the first Sunday of every month. The competition starts at 9 am and usually runs over 3 rounds. The gliders do not have motors so are therefore launched with a bungee cord that is 130 meters long. Gliders are launched to a height of around 200 meters and a set time duration is tried to be achieved. Points are given for times that are closest to the target time and points can also be obtained for landing within a designated area. Points are tallied on the day to give placings and are also collated during the year to give annual placings.
